Injury/Real Estate Law – James Leffew

James was born and raised in Vero Beach, Florida. He attended Denison University in Granville, Ohio where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in History in May of 2012. James served as captain of the Denison University Men’s Basketball team and he brings the same qualities of leadership, tenacity, and dedication he exhibited on the basketball court to the legal profession.

James received his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in May of 2015. While at USC, James interned in the Richland County Public Defender’s Office, the Legal Department for Special Olympics International, and participated in a Non-Profit Clinic where he helped clients with the formation and governance of Non-Profit/Charitable Organizations.

Upon graduation, James immediately settled into the Lowcountry. James interned for the City of Charleston Legal Department and in June of 2015, he began working for the O’Shea Law Firm on James Island. James was sworn into the South Carolina Bar in November of 2015.  James practices in a variety of areas including criminal defense, personal injury, termite damage litigation, landlord/tenant disputes, real estate/property matters, and non-profit/charitable organization formation and governance. James also enjoys playing basketball and coaching Special Olympics and other youth sports teams.
